Fortrose Care Home
Work on a new £5.5 million Parklands care home for the Black Isle has just been completed by contractor, Chap Group. The state-of-the-art facility offers 40 en-suite bedrooms and residents can enjoy views over the Moray Firth.
The colour selected by the client was Formica Elegant Oak throughout.
Like many construction projects this year, the National lockdown and COVID restrictions delayed this project significantly. We started the install in February last year but due to the March lockdown soon after, we were not back on site until July. The installation was completed in September, more than 6-months after initially starting on site.
Two metre distancing meant that we had less Joiners on site, and as a result, the installation took longer than planned, although we met the clients programme through all the stages.
The project was completed in December 2020 with residents due to move into the care home early 2021.
Nu-Style’s Added Value:
As a provider of washrooms to the healthcare sector, we were able to bring our experience to this project, adding value for our client, Chap. Our bespoke washroom services meant we could deliver products that were right for the care home environment with infection control and safety as the priority.
This project was the second Care Home that we had worked on with Chap Group, having successfully supplied and installed Grantown Care Home in the Spring of 2018, also by Independent Care Home Provider, Parklands.
"This year has been especially tough for many care home residents and this particular project was very important to us here at Nu-Style. Being able to be part of this new care home project and see the completed, new and modern rooms with en-suite bathrooms ready for residents to move into gave the team a real feeling of accomplishment."Steve Galbraith, Managing Director, NSP.
